Candela V-Beam
The V-Beam Laser uses cutting edge technology to treat a variety of problems. The laser can clear up redness, birthmarks, lesions and spotting on the face, neck, torso and legs. In addition, it can make stretch marks, scars, wrinkles and unsightly veins far less noticeable. The V-beam laser can also remove warts, acne and other growths and has been known to lessen symptoms of rosacea and psoriasis.
The laser works by using gentle light to treat blood vessels in problem locations. Unlike surgical incision, this dye laser does not harm the skin around the treated area but focuses directly on the problem. This creates a more comfortable and effective treatment that requires a shorter healing time.
Generally, several treatments performed over a period of months will create the most effective and long-lasting results.
Most patients report little to no pain during treatment, and the results of the treatment begin immediately. Any minor swelling or bruising that may occur should diminish within a few days. For about a week before treatment, patients should avoid medications like aspirin or ibuprofen. This will help lessen such side effects.
Candela GentleLase Hair Removal Laser
The Candela GentleLase Laser is a quick, efficient and comfortable way to treat a variety of skin problems. The laser can remove unsightly hair faster and more easily than more traditional methods.
The laser’s beam can pass harmlessly through the skin to the hair follicles, eradicating them. Patients will have the problem area tested prior to treatment, but in some cases, the treatment can even be performed on the same day as the test. Generally, patients report little to no discomfort, but topical anesthetics are provided at patient request. In most cases, the treatment will last from a few minutes to an hour.
After treatment, patients may notice minor redness, but it should go away after a few days. Patients should avoid the sun for about a month before and after treatment, and they should also refrain from waxing or plucking. While skin tone and hair color and texture can alter how effective the initial treatments are, most patients find permanent and satisfactory results in about three to seven treatments.
